A CONNECTING ECONOMIC SYSTEM

Image
To be fair with everything happening in this country now, one will notice that the process at which everything is been processed is so slow, the reason no matter how good you hustle your business to go forward it turns out not to be what you are expecting. We need a fast connecting economic system that can facilitate the process in which our business can flow in the same speed the global world is moving. Our government need in all capacity to provide a good understanding relationship between citizens and governmental initiatives, so that the citizens can feel freedom when they are dealing with government agencies providing support to them, this will enable SMEs to generate the kind of drive our economy is lacking. After the Federal Government increased the Valued Added Tax (VAT) to 7.5% entrepreneurs had to double their business targets to meet up with increased VAT and the 5% that will be charged for e-commerce services where Fowler said the country is currently working on...

HOW THE NIGER DELTA UNDERDEVELOPED THE NIGER DELTA

Image
Since inception in 2000, NDDC has received at least ₦15 Trillion, yet FAILED to achieve the Niger Delta Regional Development Master plan to lay the foundation for transforming the region into Nigeria’s Dubai.  And still with all this things that are unfolding here and there in this nation, some person's can still tell you how the NDDC are trying. My brother, this people are rubbing us on all quarters and are still surprised how come people are still quite about it, this is the main reason why we need to protect our votes because gone are the days where we pray that our votes should count, since the hunters have learnt to shoot without missing the birds have decided to fly without perching. Am very happy that H.E Mohammadu Buhari has discovered the theft behind NDDC and has decided to investigate and regulate what goes on in that Department. I must also commend the Federal Government of Nigeria for making it clear that anyone found with corrupt practices will dance to the tu...

FIGHTING THE WORST IMMERGING PICTURES OF OUR POSSIBLE FUTURE

It's just unfortunate, the pictures that are immerging of our possible future is so scary, power that is given to our leaders are driving them crazy. Power drunkenness is what flows in their brain which make them God's to the people they lead. It's has come to the time where the people need to wake up and defend the future of our future generation. We need to understand that Nigeria is ours, and if we don't fight for her to become great it will come back to hunt us all, what we do today will determine our tomorrow. The greatest Mathematics is to be able to calculate the future outcome from what we do today, so for us to be happy and hopeful for the betterment of tomorrow we need to correct the pictures of today. My heart bleeds what Nigeria is becoming where corruption is a disease which Nigeria is still struggling with, Nigeria crime rate is rising each passing day, Nigeria hope is dying each day because we cant even elect our desired leaders because of election r...

KNOWING YOUR TRUE ENEMY

Truth is, so many times we often mistake people for our enemies. Knowing your true enemy is key to self protection, reason been that if you fight the wrong person because you felt that's the enemy, you end up frustrated and weak to face the true enemy, this happens because you where very busy fighting the wrong people. Because of our emotions, relationships, social affiliations, tradition and religious beliefs we often make so many mistakes in our decisions and judgments in our daily lives. If you want to be powerful in decision making and judgmental deficits, you need to be prepared to learn and embrace so many natural and ethical principles that embodies nature as we have it, if not you will deray from perfection and consistency. Fighting our enemies does not make us winners, rather we all lose, reason been that for you to actually succeed you need to be focused, defensive not to be defeated. Create a wall that separates you from your enemies because you will never know your...

10.5 MILLION CHILDREN ARE OUT OF SCHOOL IN NIGERIA

Image
Even though primary education is officially free and compulsory, about 10.5 million of the country’s children aged 5-14 years are not in school. Only 61% of 6-11 year-olds regularly attend primary school and only 35.6% of children aged 36-59 months receive early childhood Education. It is reported from UNICEF Education that one out of five children out of school is a Nigerian, which is not a good news for us as a nation. I know our govt are trying their best to address this situation we are in, but they have to do more to change the narrative. If our children are giving the opportunity to be educated we are doing it for our own good, we will have a secured future, a future were we won't have criminals, a future where our youths can compete in many different capabilities in terms of science & technology, administration Health Etc. For government to make this a reality and ensuring educational provision comes to fusion, they need to focus more in rural areas and the imp...

FG 5% VAT Online Transactions Charges

Image
Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to charge Nigerians 5% VAT from online transactions from 2020.  Tunde Fowler, Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), confirmed this in an exclusive interview with Premium Times Newspaper. Fowler said the country is currently working on a solution for taxing the digital economy. “We will address the issue of the digitalised economy very soon. There is no global solution to a digitalised economy. Different countries have taken different solutions to address the problem. Nigeria has not taken a position yet. But, we are meeting to see if we can come up with a global solution that we can all adapt to." Am not against online taxation, but 5% VAT is too much, they should reduce it for a start but with time if they see that the economy is stable they can step up the charges and no one will feel the changes. One thing i hate about Nigeria plans are, they don't seem to solve some standing issues before taking actions on ch...

THE EFFECTS OF COLONIZATION IN AFRICA 🌍

Image
Colonialism has had major effects on different countries throughout the years. Europeans were a major cause of these horrid events. Colonization will cause a country to lose the culture they have developed and will strip the natives of their souls. As you read through this article, you will discover the true horror of what colonialism is and how it strips the souls of the people in it. First i will love to highlight key things colonization does to people. - Stripping the souls of the natives  - Killing the ways and believes of Africans  - Mental slavery & Supremacy Oppression  - Cultural & Traditional downgrades.  STRIPPING THE SOULS OF THE NATIVES It is known that invading a country will likely ruin the culture that joins the people together. As time has gone by, this has become more and more prominent. A race of people decide they are superior to other cultures. So, they colonise in countries and call them their own. Little do they know, they...

WHY IS THE USE OF MOBILE PHONES AT PETROL STATIONS PROHIBITED?

Image
Fonte Oil Nigeria.          One of the most widespread myths is the danger of using mobile phones at service stations. What does science have to say about the real risk of explosions or fires caused by their use? One of the things that we should do, but often forget to do, is turn off our  Mobile Phones  when we are at a petrol station. This is what article 115 of the  General Traffic Regulations  says, which literally prohibits “keeping the engine, lights, as well as electrical systems such as the radio or devices that emit electromagnetic radiation turned on”. According to Traffic regulations, the latter case would apply to mobile phones. At this point, we all know that these devices are  low-power radio-frequency transmitters  (between 450 and 2700 MHz), with a peak power value that ranges between 0.1 and 2 watts. Can they really have an impact in a petrol station? Fonte Oil Nigeria  As expla...

Facebook will no longer allow pre-installation on Huawei

Image
Facebook says it would no longer allow pre-installation of its WhatsApp, Instagram and other apps on new Huawei phones. Facebook told Reuters on Friday in San Francisco that customers who already had Huawei phones would still be able to use its apps and receive updates. “But new Huawei phones will no longer be able to have Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram apps pre-installed,” said Facebook. Smartphone vendors often enter business deals to pre-install popular apps such as Facebook, including Twitter and Booking.com also come pre-installed on Huawei phones in many markets. Twitter Inc declined to comment and Booking Holdings did not respond to a request on the matter. The latest blow is a hurdle for the Chinese tech giant as it struggles to keep its business afloat in the face of a US ban on its purchase of American parts and software. The move by Facebook dampens the sales outlook for Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, whose smartphone business became its biggest ...

BLACK WOMEN AND THE CONTROVERSY

Image
NICHOLLE KOBI A French illustrator’s images of black women are controversial in Paris, but adored on Instagram A meet-and-greet with illustrator Nicholle Kobi is titled A Parisian Instant, yet at home the French illustrator is overlooked. This, even as her work spreads from Instagram to communities of black women around the world, this week in Johannesburg. Kobi’s work has become something of a cultural phenomenon among women in the African diaspora. The popularity of her illustrations of black women in all their variations is a testament to the power of representation in our visually-driven online culture. NICHOLLE KOBI In much the same way many of her fans came to discover her work, Kobi too used to follow illustrators and artists online. She was always frustrated by the lack of diversity, even resorting to the comments section to question why there were so few images of black women. When there were illustrations of black women, Kobi found ...

WHY OUR ANCESTORS DRILLED HOLES IN EACH OTHER'S SKULLS

Image
Thousands of years ago, people were performing a form of surgery called "trepanation" that involves boring holes through a person's skull For a large part of human prehistory, people around the world practised trepanation: a crude surgical procedure that involves forming a hole in the skull of a living person by either drilling, cutting or scraping away layers of bone with a sharp implement. To date, thousands of skulls bearing signs of trepanation have been unearthed at archaeological sites across the world. But despite its apparent importance, scientists are still not completely agreed on why our ancestors performed trepanation. Anthropological accounts of 20th-Century trepanations in Africa and Polynesia suggest that, in these cases at least, trepanation was performed to treat pain – for instance, the pain caused by skull trauma or neurological disease. Trepanation may also have had a similar purpose in p...
